Since I’m throttling back my holiday post for a little longer (yeah, we got posts on deck), that means it’s time once again for Internet Crates. Let’s take a sec to big up the DJs and producers out there on the internet making heat who AIN’T yet got their shit on wax, commercial releases, or otherwise in the public earhole. Notorious B.I.G. - Hypnotize (DJ Relax Remix)
It’s terrible, but I can’t even actually remember where I originally got this one, though I actually play this one on a regular basis. It’s pretty solid from a production standpoint and a fresh take on a classic. DJ Relax has a site too with some more mixes on it. Keep it up homie! - djrelaxproductions.com

Beastie Boys - Stop That Train (Jaymack Remix)
Now I typically stray away from Beastie Boys remixes, especially when they hit on what I consider classic cuts (which most do). I think that’s the reason this one caught my ear. Jaymack did a take on the short cut Stop That Train, a pretty unmemorable track, and turned it into some with with a little more knock. I can’t recall, but I think Jaymack is another Strutter. Jackie-O - Sugar Walls (King Most Remix)
King Most is the dude. A fellow Strutter killin it with this one. He actually told me this was one of the first mixes/blends he released into the wild. Keep checking for this cat!

Willis - Word Up (JBLOW RMX)
Just a little something to spice it up a bit. A track from the Ubiquity comps (Rewind! 4) with some drums added to make it a bit more playable (IMHO).

REEEEMMMIIIIIIXXX Vol.2 - Love for the Dancefloor

get crump Since my last edition, I’ve been choppin away at new edits and remixes practically every week. This is probably one of the most fun aspects of Serato that’s changed how I DJ - the ability to crank out tracks and play them out right away. It’s really been inspirational in a sense and had made me want to produce more (which is nice, since I’ve felt I’ve been in a slump). So, I’m givin up the goods once again. My motivation has recently been wanting to create more dancefloor friendly versions tracks to play out at my local weekend spot. Now, none of these are production wonders, and some are just flat out acapellas over other cuts - but hell, they’re funky and I figured I’d share. Enjoy!

Sell out nuthin! This is all about tippin 40s, gettin paid and kickin it. How could that be wrong? Billy Dee Williams knew what was up. Taking a cue from Lando himself, St. Ides stepped up and brought the HEAT! There are so many of these commercials floating around. They even got pressed up on vinly a while back.
