Space you out
The buzz has been building over these Sa-Ra cats for some time. This is on some heavy keyboard, funk tip – think George Clinton, Dilla, ZAPP, with a touch of R. Kelly. Yeah I said it. They’ve been bouncing around labels for a bit, and still don’t have a proper album out (ABB, Ubiquity, Sound In Color, and finally Kanye scooped them on G.O.O.D. Music). But the 12″s, promos, remixes, covers and mixes have all had great shit on them. If the full album ever comes out and these guys haven’t blew their load yet, it will bang. Meanwhile, I am feelin them.

i was trying to paint a picture of all the pieces working as a whole. i’m not good at those things. and i try to steer clear of Prince comparisons… except for in Diddy’s case. don’t hate.

oh my god people. there is no hate. i guess i was unclear – i see being locked up in the basement of paisley park as a good thing.
i am seriously feelin sa-ra, but it always surprises me (and makes me happy) when i hear that sound. i can’t believe people are still doing it.
i’m a lover, not a fighter.
